Refining a scheme by hand

Select, move, rotate and resize buildings, set them exactly from the building card, and add or fill buildings in one step.

Narrated walkthrough, 50 seconds. Nothing plays until you press play.

Step by step

  1. In Plan, click a building to select it and drag it to move. Figures and checks update live; Live generation pauses so your edits stay.
  2. Drag the red handle to rotate (hold Shift to snap to 45°), or press R for 5° steps. Drag the white squares to change length and width. Nudge with the arrow keys (1 m, Shift 5 m).
  3. Use the building card on the right to set typology, dimensions, wing depth, storeys, rotation and orientation exactly, and to lock, duplicate or delete the building.
  4. In Generate under Manual design, press Add building for any typology, Fill to max storeys or Fit storeys to FSR.
  5. Undo and redo from the top bar (Ctrl+Z), and press Delete to remove the selected building.

Select and move. In the Plan view, click a building to select it, then drag it to move. The key figures and the compliance checks update as you go, and Live generation pauses so your edits are kept.

Rotate and resize. Drag the red handle to rotate, holding Shift to snap to forty five degrees, or press R for five degree steps. Drag the white squares to change the length and width, and nudge with the arrow keys.

The building card. The selected building card sets the typology, dimensions, wing depth, storeys, rotation and orientation exactly. It can lock the building so it is never moved by accident, duplicate it, or delete it.

Add and fill. Under Manual design in the Generate tab, add a building of any typology, fill every building to the maximum storeys, or fit the storeys to the floor space ratio in one step.
